Mixed Feeling Tuesday

This is going to be a great day. This evening I am attending what has become one of the highlight seminars in the country. Since March 30th David Ziser has put on 40 seminars of what he calls the Digital WakeUp Tour.

So who is David Ziser and whats the big deal about a seminar. First Ziser is a renowned wedding and portrait photographer from the Cincinnati Ohio area that has proliferated the blogosphear with one of the most dedicated and informative blogs on the net. Digital Pro Talk is a daily blog that David produces covering the two most important elements in photography, technique and the business of photography. Here is a bio form the DWC web site:

The "Mixed Feeling Tuesday" title to this post has a down side. Sometime last night I developed a big time stuffy nose and the ensuing drainage... Ok, I won't go into it any may as you have no doubt been there.

I will bring a "how'd it go" report tomorrow. I think it is off to the drug store to deal with my body now.

Very Good Paper

One more item and I will be off. Really!

Over at David Ziser's blog Digital Protalk is a really good discussion on what motivates us to do what we do. It is titled "The Most Overpaid Jobs" and make some very interesting points regarding poor attitude and the resulting poor performance as a wedding photographer yet charging higher than average fees for an inferior product.

Go read David's has to say but the skinny on the post that the people who do not really want to be doing what the are doing in photography or are doing it simply for the money, should really do the industry a favor and find another line of work.

I have a tag-line to my e-mails that goes like this, "If you do not enjoy what you are doing... then find something you can!"
