Burning Up the Sound Board

Here is a print that I did while working on a buddies CD cover. At the time I was in a serious learning curve with CS3 and was having a blast stretching my cranial matter. The sound board was at a recording studio in Columbus OH and I was taking a bunch of filler shots for effect on the cover. While we did not use many of the shots, some of them were still too cool to trash. A little selection, layering and blend modes and away we go, a cool effect on an otherwise boring shot.

On a different note...
One of the really cool things we got the business for end of the year tax giving was a set of Canon 580 EX II speedlites and the ST-E2 transmitter. I have been wanting to expand our lighting capabilities for a more portable set-up for location shooting. One thing I did not realize is that the flash unit I had picked up a while ago had the slave capability that works with the Canon system. So we now have three slave capable flash heads that will run off the transmitter head on the hot shoe. Sweeeet!!! Can anyone say Key Light, Fill Light, and Hair or Back-flash.

Enough for now.
