I was supposed to be in Austin TX after doing a checkride on a Captain but earlier this morning the plane broke so we just spent the day in Little Rock, AR. With some time on my hands I thought after all the times I have been in Little Rock, I should visit the Clinton Library. Living in the Grand Rapids, MI area we have the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library. The photo above is a two shot pano that I had to manually assemble in Photoshop Elements as it does not have a stitch function like CS3 does. A little skewing in transform, and a slight adjustment layer to match the tonality of the images and I had my pano.
The library itself was not nearly as impressive as the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, CA but it was laid out in an organized fashion. The Oval office as well as the Cabinet room was reproduced to an exact detail. What was most impressive was a miniature reproduction of the entire White House. Miniature may be an understatement, it was at least 25 feet in length.
The thing that was not addressed (or I just missed it) was the whole Monica, Paula... Basically the best possible spin was put on the whole display. Not even the Clinton's impeachment was addressed. If it was then it must have been in a small dark area of the various displays. Hey... It's part of history.
PHOTO TIME
I thought I would include the original pano (below) of the library. After which I spent some time doing selections, layering, and blending to generate the image above. Using Elements and it's limitations as compared to CS3 gets very noticeable when working with the more detailed images.

Well, we are supposed to make it to Austin, TX tomorrow so I will see what I can get up on the blog then.
Take care for now... Doug
