We are really spoiled by airline standards when it comes to how we are treated on the road. Most all the airlines put the crews up at some of the trashiest hotels in America. When I arrived in ICT on Sunday, Enterprise told me I had a free upgrade to an Expedition (below). Granted it is a bit of overkill to run the two miles between the hotel and the training center each day but hey... Somebody had to get stuck with the beast.
The Residence Inn does in no way qualify at a trashy hotel, but it still is not my own bed. We have jumped around to a bunch of different hotels while coming to Wichita for training an have finally settled upon a consistent winner. This one is nice and close to a theater and a bunch of restaurants. Unfortunately our schedule this week does not work well for a movie.
I know I just said the hotel is near a bunch of restaurants... I know, so what's with the Sonic photo. Sorry... I just can't get past it this week. The first day we ate at Quiznos an since then I have to have a Sonic burger. Call it an obsession, Sonic fixation, what have you... It is just soooo good. Mmmm... I am getting hungry just looking at the photo.
I think I might just shut down now and go get a Sonic for lunch. BTW the shakes are to die for. Yummy.
