Too Many Taxi's

Let's get real... How many taxicabs does it take to keep New York city moving?

One more!

Really though there were times we thought we had curb side seating for the great Yellow Cab Parade. After riding in one for about 25 minutes going up to midtown for dinner I brought memories of my youth when I was on a trip with my parents to Seattle WA.

Ok... So Seattle, New York and photography may not have much in common but I bet you are just holding your breath hear about the youthful memory. Ready?

I take it you are still here and have not clicked to the next blog so here we go. When we were in Seattle we took the ferry to Vancouver BC. It was rather lengthy and as a hyperactive youth (read ADD) I found myself at the stern of the ferry mesmerized by the hundreds of seagulls that had no were to land and to my knowledge never once had a mid air collision with another gull. One did get a little to close to the boat and got a smack-down by old glory.

So fast forward forty some years to NYC and there you have it. A complete chaotic mess of yellow cab moving, darting, and honking but never coming in contact with each other. Simply amazing... Scary, but amazing!

Cya tomorrow... Doug
