Sunsets never fail to amaze me. If you think about it the sun is a pretty amazing ball. The images above were take while I was driving home from Columbus OH one afternoon. I was on US23 going North and out from behind the clouds I saw these beautiful rays of sun and I just had to stop and take a couple of shots. A small levels adjustment in PS was done and here they are.
Last Sunday I taught the singles class on evolution and the final slid in the presentation was one that I had seen at a Chris Tomlin concert and it truly show the might, majesty, and power of our God and creator. It also points out the simple fact that were a but an insignificant pimple on the end of a nat thats riding on the hind end of an elephant if you compared our size to the rest of the solar system.
A simple example are in the following two images. The first being the relative size of Earth to the next largest planet being Neptune.

That's pretty significant. Now compare the size of our largest planet (in our solar system) Jupiter to the size of our Sun.

Hopefully I have your attention. What I want you to do now is go to this link and watch the video and tell me if you are not awed by what you see. Without getting all religious and philosophical and all it must cause us to pause and reflect on our own existence and purpose on this rock. Feel free to e-mail me if you would like to engage me in further discussion.
You all have a great weekend and I will be back on Monday.
Cya... Doug
