Color Space

sRGB, Adobe RGB (1998), ProPhoto RGB, CMYK... What ever! There is nothing we can do as photographers, artists that can compete with what our creator is capable of providing on a daily basis. Sure we can capture some really outstanding images, enhance them in Photoshop if we like but it just does not do it.

I was driving home from Columbus last week and crosse the border into Michigan and the scene above presented itself to me. Going down the road at seventy-... Lets leave it at that. you only have an instant to realize a composition is there for the taking. Then there is the I just want to get home emotion that battles the I gotta get that shot feeling. In this case the shot won, I looped back around at the next exit and reverse again at the border. The shoulder was not going to provide enough angle but there was one of those "Authorized vehicles only" turn-around deals so I figured I was not going to turn around it would be fair game. The logical conclusion to this story is that a State Trooper stopped by and gave me a ticket. Well that was not the case fortunately. What I did get was some fantastic images of a really beautiful fall day highlighting the great state of Michigan.

Take care... Doug
