It is official, I am bi-platform. The computer I talked about in the previous post is a Dell. Yes that's right I have actually purchased a PC after living and loving my Mac world for the past two years. Actually, I feel a little dirty right now.
The real reason is we have a couple of Window only applications (imagine that!) that we still need to use. frankly there are some companies that provide photographic support software that do not develop their product for the Mac OS. I will agree that Mac's do not out number PC in the business market but the tables are turned in the design and creativity realm which photography falls.
I will actually be hiding the Dell out of sight but will make use of the 24 inch flat screen that comes with it along side my 24" iMac. This will officially make my monitors larger than my desk top. But that is going to be another project in the future.
I was running Parallels on the iMac prior to Leopard and now I don't want to run bootcamp just to pull up a couple of Windows apps. This way I can keep the iMac completely segregated for the sloths at Microsoft.
