Simulator Base Follow-Up

Here it a picture of the base on the of the simulator we ride around in for the week. It really uses interesting geometry to make the box rock and roll through the various maneuvers. The use of electric motors is relatively new and I was interested to see if they would responds like the hydraulic actuators did. The short answer is that they do. To the point, they seem to be overly responsive. Not from a pilot/control input but rather when the input to the actuator to stop motion is received it is right now. The hydraulic actuators felt like there was some cushion to the stop action. This could however be build into the software. Anyhow, I just thought it would be interesting to show a close-up of the magic behind aircraft simulation.
