Ok So I missed yesterday. It was a little crazy though. Sunday night I said I would photo a band at a college. The problem being that after I committed to that I found out I had to be at a meeting in Columbus at 7:15 on Monday morning. Oh well, who needs sleep. After the morning meeting it the rest of the day was spent in a class going over some new stuff for work. So about 3:00 I was getting a little slap happy but I did make it through the day.

This image was taken this past Saturday of one of the teenagers involved with a youth program at our church. The Teens Involved ministry of Word of Life really gives this age group a good foundation of being in front of people and exploring different areas and talents that they may use in ministry some day.
This was titled Better Lucky than Good because of this shot. There are a bunch of really good shots of the day but this one was the flukiest. I had gone out to the car to get my longer lens and Caleb (pictured) did one of these Bill Engvall "here's your sign" things when he said "Is that your camera?" I was good and held my tongue.
Anyhow, I did a quick draw from the hip and snapped this picture. I had the lens set at f/5.6 and 1/8000 of a second. And no that is not what I usually leave my camera set at. I was working some other test images taking advantage of the wildly blue sky in West Michigan. The shot turned out nice more from the angle it was shot at as the light was very hard from the sunlight. Where is a scrim when you need one.
Bottom line is Caleb's mom likes the shot!
Gotta get going... Cya... Doug
