This one can go under the why I shoot in RAW file. Fortunately I was just getting some images for the blog but if I wanted to use one for another purpose, I am kind of out of luck. The crash course of this blog post or shall I say the executive summary would be this. When you reduce the resolution of your camera, make sure you reset it back to where you normally shoot when you are done.
I took this photo yesterday on the way to the airport in Stuart Florida. I wanted to jazz it up some but being a 900KB file. What started out as a 2MB capture in the camera ends up getting gutted by the jpg process. Not much to work with.
Then if you want to do some creative cropping with the image, fa-get-a-bout-it! It becomes a pixel party in the worst way. Anyhow, I just thought I would share my lesson here.
You all have a very nice weekend... Doug
