I was on my porch one evening shooting some sunsets shots and while putting my sticks away I saw the sun lighting this arrow straight contrail. The length of the contrail is roughly 200 miles long. The winds and temperature at in the upper atmosphere was just right to not only generate the contrail but also to allow it to remain so intact for such a long distance.
I think it was David Ziser who said on a podcast said not to fold up camp to quickly when the sun slips below the horizon. Just because we might be standing in the shadow of the earth, does not mean the sun can not illuminate something above our elevation.
That's all for today.
