I must tell you, after reading Terry White's tech-blog the other day on the iPod Touch and how Apple has decided to increase the memory to this fine product I have been itching to see it up and close. So you say the iPhone and iPod touch has been out for some time. That is true but what is really cool now is the increase in memory. I had always thought the memory on these products where marginal at best. I had relegated myself to a wanna-bee iPhone owner in that I wanted nothing to do with AT&T phone service. I have Verison, and most all the people we call have Verison and that spells big savings.
The major fault of the iPhone/iPod touch is battery life and memory. While the iPhone has not made a major increase on memory, the iPod touch has an 8, 16, and 32GB version. That with the ability to surf wifi, e-mail, sync with a Mac was too much to pass up. Yes you say, other PDA's (after all that is what the iPod touch is) have been able to sync with computers for years. The experience I have had was less than stellar as most often the Palm system had to go through a third party sync module to get to the Mac.
So far it has been a blast to work with. The typical intuitivity of Apple shines in this unit. Having said that I am off to play.
