I am going to try and provide a summary of my five top blogs that I keep up with. There are 22 plus or minus that I peruse on a daily basis (or try). But really there are only about five that are must see blogs. While not in any particular order they would be Scott Kelby, Ben Willmore, David Ziser, Terry White, Joe McNally. The wealth of information from these individuals if not valuable, they are certainly entertaining. I do have a sixth that I stop by just to see what he has put up on his blog because the images are so absolutely spectacular; that would be Moose Peterson's blog. Check it out.
Scott Kelby - Photoshop Insider
Scott started the week talking about security issues his Brother had in Italy. He moved onto the Vincent Versace Award for Digital Photography Excellence. The previous friday Scott had excepts from Photoshop User TV where he had a phone interview with Intellectual Property Attorney Ed Greenberg. That was an interesting interview.
Scott had a Q&A (like he does in his books with himself) on shooting food while he was in Italy. The it was Guest Blog Wednesday who was Stephen Johnson who had been called "The modern day Ansel Adams"
Thursday is Scott's "News" day and it was full of 411. Some of the topics were Summer Digital Boot Camp, Another class at KelbyTraining on the Nikon D-300, firmware update for the D3 and D-300, a cameras sawed in half website at Wired.com, and plugs for Photoshop World Conference & Expo as well as Photoshop User TV.
Scott wrapped up the week with a tutorial on how he did his calendar images a the previous week using iPhoto and the Calendar function.
Ben Willmore - Where Is Ben
While Ben does not blog everyday when he does it is either some cataclysmic event that has occurred or some of the most interesting photographic images around. Last week we found Ben Ben is looking at a new bus and giving us an update on what he had been up to in the recent past.
David Ziser - Digital Protalk
This past week, david conducted his Digital Master Class. A tutorial on color matching, on his [B] Business day David had a really good post on the trend for the "Good Enough" buyer. Finally he wrapped up the week with an inspirational video DeWitt Jones who was a National Geographic photographer about "What's right With The World".
Terry White - Terry White's Tech Blog
Terry White spent the week blogging about the iPhone upgrade to 3g/2.0, the associated 7.7 version update to iTunes and getting a big big boost in speed on Comcast wireless.
Joe McNally - Joe McNally
After reading Joe' book "The Moment It Clicks", I have come to appreciate not only his vast knowledge but his keen wit. This past week though Joe posted one of the most heart felt posts on the events after September 11, 2001. The community that came together is captured by this wold famous photographer. Take a look here.
