Binary Incompatatosis

There are a number of wow's in traveling away from your home. Mainly they are social (separated from your network of friends) , psychological (knowing you have a list of things to be done), and emotional (away from loved ones). I have a new issue that causes distress when away from home. Let's call it binary incompatatosis. It is a condition where one is perplexed in how to get any usable functionality out of their laptop with the outside world. Why we can go to the mall and sit (anywhere) and get online with no problems. Even Pizza Hut now has wifi. What gives with hotels and getting online.  I have spent the better part of an hour trying to get the image below to load. I finally had to e-mail the file to the blogger upload location and then come back and edit the text. Man just should not have to go to such lengths.

The photo above is another one taken up at Fallsburg Park north of Lowell MI. It is along the Flat River the feeds into the Grand River just south of Lowell. This is another wonderful backdrop for portraits that we plan on using. It may well qualify for one of those "drop-in" portraits when there is time of possibility for a good live shot.

There was another shooter just outside of the frame to the right and the sun had started to set, so the magical lighting was rapidly slipping away. I had a 24-70 2.8L mounted and grabbed this shot knowing that it would need some attention in PS.

I would prefer get the shot nearly perfect in camera and to just do some light develop work in Lightroom without having to fire up Photoshop but you do what you have to do. In this case I was given conditions that had tremendous composition but not the best quality of light. If I have to rescue a good photo in PS to make it a really good shot, then so be it.

Cya tomorrow, Doug
