On the Run

The title says it all. The day in Columbus is not cooperating with my photographic exploits. But then again I am at work contributing to the effort.

Yesterday while driving down from Michigan I spotted the Olentangy river a bit low south of Delaware Ohio on Rt 23. I quick marked the spot on the GPS and continued to the hotel. Today after work I ventured back to that spot and got a little adventurous. Undaunted by a No Parking along a small road that ran along the river, camera, and tri-pod in hand, I made my way to the flat rocked shoreline for this vantage point. The light was a little odd in that the sun was a little lower and behind some clouds. I shot manual with an EF 24-105 f/4 L lens on the 40D. ISO was at 100 and shutter-speed was in the vicinity of 1/250 second and the aperture was closed down to f/11 to get as much of the long shot into focus.

Thats it for today.
